My Place

My birthplace is Skotani, a small village of Kalavrita that during the winter months hardly has 30 or 40 permanent residents.
As a child, I spent much of my summer vacation in the village listening to stories from Grandpa and Grandma. I just didn’t know then that I would draw my inspiration from these stories thirty 30 years later.
“My Place” is a photographic journey that aims to capture daily moments from people’s lives who chose to live in the land where they were born and at the same time to describe the wider atmosphere of the Greek countryside.
These are people who follow their traditions, in some cases “lonely people”, people who tell you in their own way “if you look into my eyes you will see my soul”.
