Touristic interpretations

In this photographic series, I focus on the seasonal transformation of the scape in mass tourism areas in Chania town in Crete where I was born. I mainly, aim to raise questions about the role of photography in the formation of the tourists’ expectations. Particularly, the quotes of their experiential feedback taken from tripadvisor platform and placed under the photographic diptychs create a new context of meaning for the viewer.
